..play their own fusion of Tango, Klezmer, cafe-swing, and Mexican polkas and valses. 'Arthouse' film themes also feature largely, as well as some esoteric European folk.

The band's provenance was a brief to provide a 'cosmopolitan acoustic entertainment' for a gathering of various celebrities who were attending the opening of the 'Ustinov' theatre in Bath some 6 years ago. Our performance was extremely well received: Sir Peter himself smiled on us with (what we took to be) warm approval!

Welcome to our web site.

We're based in Bristol (England) and play our blend of European and World folk music around the Bristol and Bath area, with occasional forays further afield. Most of our outings are to weddings and private parties, although we make the occasional festival appearance and play at a number of local venues from time to time.

Depending on where we are, there can be two, three, four, five, six or even seven of us. However, there are four core members of the band; Peter on accordion, Pete on trumpet and tuba, Fiona on fiddle and Martin on double bass. We also have the services of Katie on hammer dulcimer or flute, and a number of drummers and percussionists we can call on when we need to make more noise.

The band plays an infectious mix of musical styles; klezmer, polkas, tangos, waltzes, bossas and swings, with one or two original compositions thrown in. We have an extensive repertoire and are happy to tailor material to suit the event.
